Yellow, I love yellow

It's been some time since I participated in Mama Kat's writing workshop prompts... YIPPPEE today is the day.  Mama Kat asked for a Yellow inspired post…..it got me thinking… Yellow makes me happy.  Yellow is my daughter’s favorite color.  I don’t think you can look at yellow and not feel it’s energy… it illustrates…. happiness.  But after a bit of thinking…here is my favorite thought about yellow…….

Remember when you were little and would hold a yellow buttercup flower under your little brother’s chin and ask, “Do you like butter?”
and he would say “no”
and you would say “yes, you do your chin is yellow”
and then he would argue “no I don’t”
and you would argue “yes, you do”
and you would go back and forth and he would check your chin and you would check his chin and sooner or later your mom would yell STOP PlAYING THAT GAME.....
ya, now that I am a mother I am thankful that we don't have buttercups in our yard.
I love YELLOW....

Thats a cute story. I'm sorry to say I'm not sure what buttercups look like they wouldn't survive where I grew up in the mountains or where I am now here in the desert.

Hehe, I blogged about the buttercup thing too!

No buttercups here either. I tell my girls about the game, but they look at me as if I'm nuts :))

Your post brightened my day!
