Five for Friday RETURNS - Here are five great things about today...
1. First day in quite a while that I've had to myself....
2. Bought hair dye - just can't embrace those gray's like mom suggested.
3. The World's Greatest Husband filled my car with gas and that continues to be the biggest treat of the week.
4. Date night - I love that guy and can't wait.
5. Went to Michael's with no children - when that happens, it's always a good day.

2. Day number 3 with parents visiting.
3. Cub scout makes first communion in the morning
4. Girls are pitching tonight and my parents will be there to watch

I asked the World's Greatest Husband to be my guest blogger for Five for Friday -Five Great Things about Today... here is what he came up with.... SILENCE.... still waiting.... waiting.... waiting..... he has his head down in the newspaper.... so much for guest blogging....I can't wait all night.....
Here are my thoughts- Five great things about today....
1. Loved the peanut butter cookie that my husband brought home for me.
2. Grocery shopping on line is really a lifeline - I am so happy to have found.
3. Nothing makes me happier than a bargain..... um like a 14.99 spring jacket bargain.
4. Bought a new shade of lipstick.  It's a bit more bold than I am used to....
5. Friday report cards make me a very proud momma.... Those kids amaze me with their academic achievements!  Yippee for them.... Yipppeee for us.... let's hope it always stays this way.

It snowed today... so it is hard for me for find five great things about today...
1. A few families coming over for dinner tomorrow so my house will be clean soon!
2. found some heavyweight dish towels (yes, that makes me happy)
3. Ordered the World's Greatest Husband his birthday gift.
4. Renewed my BJ's Wholesale membership today (with a coupon!)
5. My daughter is playing softball - it's been a struggle but she is on board! (I think!)

Five great things about today-
1. We are purchasing a new Television.  Yippee, hurray, yahoo.
2. Resolution season is looming.  I have some serious work to do. I love the feeling of a new year, new opportunity but I need some plans on paper for it to take shape.
3. One day closer to a pot pie at Kentucky Fried Chicken.  I gave up fast food for the past year and Sunday I am going crazy with a trip to KFC.  I am so proud of meeting my goal.  I wasn't a huge fast food queen but it was a struggle on occasion.
4. One day closer to my new life of eating in moderation and exercise.  I've been pigging out for months, I am sick of it. My hard work of losing 30+ pounds is slowly going away (right to my hips).  In 2012 I want to be 50 pounds lighter.  There, I said it.  whew.  Now I have to do it.  (after my KFC splurge)
5. Husband is working at the hospital tonight, that means I have the new TV all to myself. (heheheh)

Five for Friday

Five great things about today:
1. grocery shopping done.  And this time, I had to actually go to the grocery store and go aisle by aisle.  No online order.  It was torture for me, but the job is done.
2. Talked to my old friend.  Thank god - it had been too long.
3. Halloween candy is bought.  We don't get any trick or treaters but of course we have to have the candy!
4. Received the latest Stampin up catalog and that is BIG fun for me.
5. Um yeah, not a great thing but worth a mention....... we are getting snow tomorrow.... yes, before Halloween snowfall.  I HATE WINTER!

Two posts in one week....that is an improvement.

Five great things about today...

Fall is here.  The World's Greatest Husband informed me. . . "It's all down hill from here" He knows I HATE winter. When I say HATE, I mean dislike passionately.  It's coming.

Date night and boy do I need it.  This has been a long and stressful week. My husband left me a greeting card on the kitchen counter, that should clue you in to the level of stress.... I need greeting cards to help me through.

Met some wonderful librarians yesterday.  Paper Mom took her show on the road  inviting some new friends to learn paper crafting with me.  It was a quick intro only 12 minutes, I was a bit more jumbled than usual but I think my passion came through. Because those of you who know me well, know - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE paper!

The new Michael's store opens this weekend.  I hate to admit this - but it sort of feels like Christmas to me.  I simply cannot wait to go check out this new store.

Ran into a friend at the bank this morning.  Always nice to see a familiar, smiling face to chat it up with.

Another busy weekend ahead, enjoy the sunshine !

Some days it is easier to come up with five great things than other days -
Here is my best shot for today.

1. I have the day off and this time with no kids. I missed my free Fridays all summer long.
2. We made it through the first week of school.  Now let's see how we do on the spelling test.
3. The Backus Hospital Women's Center is a warm and inviting.  The whole setting put my racing heart at ease this morning.
4. Softball double header in the morning. Thank god the fall schedule is less demanding - haha - only two games.
5. Cub scouts kicks off tonight!

Five great things about today...
1.  Hard to believe but the girls start Fall Softball tomorrow....
2. We got our bus schedules... yippee!
3.  The World's Greatest Husband is going chaperone Band Camp.
4. Reading the Enormous Egg (again) to my cub scout.  Full circle moment.  I loved that book when Mrs. Baigert read it out loud in 3rd grade.
5.  I am really hoping for some energy... this house is a disaster.

Five great things about today...

1.  The sleeping beauties are still asleep.  I am so glad I didn't let my daughter talk me into the larger version of this party.  I kept the limit to three and thank god! I would have had to alert the neighbors if it were the 10 like she wanted. 

2. Glee 3D movie today.  Although this is a treat for my daughter... I hate to admit it... I am looking forward to it too!

3. Our koo-koo for Cocoa puffs family reunites this weekend.  Yipee, it's been too long!  Our summer is winding down. 

4. I saw a school bus, I bought some uniform pants.... it's time peeps, it's time!

5. Yummo - fruit salad for breakfast... makes me think of that Wiggles song from years ago... Fruit Salad, Yummy, Yummy.  (You know the one!)

Five for Friday

Five great things about today....

1. It's summer for sure! Heat, Heat, Heat! Our pool was 88 degrees yesterday. So glad we aren't shoveling snow off a roof!
2. My husband surprised me with a newspaper and D&D Med Hazelnut with cream and 2 sweet and lows. Ordering coffee stresses him out because he doesn't drink it and always orders it wrong... I take it with one sweet and low but it was quite a treat, I am not complaining, he is the World's Greatest!
3. The World's Greatest Husband got transfered - no more 60 minute stressful commute to the office.  We can see his office from our bedroom bathroom window when the leaves fall off the trees.  THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!! I sort of feel freedom in my own little world, knowing he is now in town to help if needed.
4. Tonight is date night to celebrate.
5. Two more weeks until our kid free week.  I love them all but a week with just my husband, a clean house and going out to eat sounds like a break that I deserve.

As I stood in the pouring rain watching my kids march around the field for opening day of little league, it dawned on me that I didn't post Five for Friday... so here are five great things about today... Saturday style.

1. Our older kids return tonight.  I can't wait to hear all about their Disney adventures.  I think I will greet them with a kiss, hug and a reminder that YES, they will be going to school on Monday.
2. Let the season officially begin... yes, it's baseball and softball people.  Get ready, the party starts now.
3. Our dryer broke this morning...  not a great thing but it will lead to a great thing if we can figure out a way to buy a new super duper one!
4. Husband offered to go to the laundromat today.
5. One more page to complete my nieces scrapbook!  It's taken a year to do... 

It's Saturday, it's raining, vacation is winding down, the dryer broke, Wal-Mart sold out of egg dye, Easter is tomorrow and the bunny hasn't shopped yet, It's 40 degrees out and I am tired because our cub scout has  been up in the middle of the last three nights...  But Paper Peeps, chin up, life is good, my husband is at the laundromat! He obviously knew my breaking point.  I don't call him the World's Greatest for nothing.  Heres to a great Saturday and a peaceful and blessed Easter day!  Happy Easter Paper Peeps.

Five Great Things about Today!

1. It's Friday! It's Friday! It's Friday!
2. Picked up some great books at our library book sale.  Spent $10 and got a huge armful of books.
3. While at the Library I also picked up some books I had reserved from other libraries.  I am so excited to read these books! Entertaining, craft and decorating books seem to make me happy. When I reserve from other libraries, I call it "shopping"  it reminds me of when I surf amazon but it's FREE!  
4. Bought a little easter tree to hang some paperly tags, stickers and calling cards on.  I think this will offer the perfect little display for those personalized pretties!  
5. It's warm outside.

2. Party planning central here.... Seven year old Magic Tree House Party happening Sunday!
3. Had a fabulous time at Jorgensen last night.  I'll blog about that mommy daughter night out later....
4. Report cards galore... so lucky to have smart, bright babies...
5. A day off to organize party fun.
